Northwest Missouri State University now has a new homepage, one designed to attract potential students and their families with its fresh, fun, yet professional look.
Approval of the homepage and Northwest web site redesign was issued by the President's Cabinet two years ago and the project became a combined effort between the Information Systems department and the Office of University Relations.
The goal of the project co-chairs, Vice President of Information Systems, Dr. Jon Rickman and Vice President of University Relations, Dr. Mary Ann Lowry, was to create an admissions-driven Northwest web site and homepage that was not only more user-friendly, but also more uniform by use of the content management system known as Collage.
While users may still see some pages from the old Northwest web site currently, the goal is to have all pages re-designed and in the new system by the end of the fall trimester.
According to Dr. Rickman, "Northwest's goal is to make our new web site consistent, easy to use and visually appealing. From all the feedback I have received, I am confident we are achieving that goal."
