The Information Systems department has a new face on board. Wenlong Zheng has been hired as the Univeristy's new Web Manager.

Originally from Shanghai, which is ranked as one of China's main centers of education and scientific reserach, Zheng has several degrees, including a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Georgia.

Zheng, who accepted the position in January, is finding his responsibilities both interesting and challenging.

"I am currently working on re-designing current University web pages to match the new template using Collage."

According to Zheng, who is greatly enjoying living in Maryville, some of his interests beyond technology include playing sports at the Fitness Center and spending time with his family.

Zheng's wife is a professor in Northwest's Geology/Geography department. Zheng and his wife are the parents of one child and are expecting their second child soon.

Also hired was Northwest IDM graduate, Crystal Ward, the new Information Systems Web Officer. Ward will be assisting Zheng with Collage and development of the new CatPages system.
