How to Connect Your Catbert (Personal File) Storage on a Mac (Faculty & Staff Only)
Faculty and staff currently have 2 gigabytes of personal file storage on Northwest's Catbert server. To access your folder on your Mac, do the following:
- Open Finder.
- Click Go in the very upper bar at the top of the screen.
- Click Connect to Server…
- If you are a Staff member
- In the server address textbox type: smb://catbert.nwmissouri.edu/staff/your username
- Example: smb://catbert.nwmissouri.edu.edu/staff/JSmith
- If you are Faculty member
- In the server address textbox type: smb://catbert.nwmissouri.edu/faculty/your username
- Example: smb://catbert.nwmissouri.edu/faculty/JDoe
- If you want this Mac to remember this address click the “+” button by the textbox.
- Click Connect and your files should appear in the Finder window
- If you want to keep your Catbert personal storage folder permanently in your Finder window, do the following:
- Make sure that you are in your Catbert folder.
- Go the very upper bar at the top of the screen and click File.
- Click Add to Sidebar.
