Information Technology, whenever reasonably possible, works with students, faculty and staff who need a specific network port open for computing purposes.

Requests for both recreational and educational purposes are granted depending on:

  • Network stability factors
  • Security risks

To request a specific firewall port to be opened, a user must individually fill out and submit their request to the Information Technology department for review and approval using the Firewall Port Request Form.
