Personally provided transparencies are not allowed in the laser printers, unless the transparencies are in a sealed box that is clearly labeled for use with laser printers. Inkjet transparencies and transparency for copy machines are not allowed in the laser printers and will, in fact, damage the laser printers. All special paper must be compatible with laser printing. Providing your own laser paper for printing does not change the cost of printing.
Printers are located in the Owens Library Computer Lab on first floor. There is also a second floor PC Lab in Owens Library, which has a black-and-white laser printer at 10 cents per printed page. A computer and printer for special printing is located at the student consultant's desk at the front of the computer lab on the first floor.
Printing charges to the networked, black-and-white and color laser printers are automatically billed to one's personal student, faculty or staff account via an electronic billing system. If you do not have a university username and password, you will not be able to print to a university networked printer. Billing for printing is done by Northwest's Bursar's Office and nonpayment of charges will result in services being discontinued.
The Client Computing general-purpose labs are managed by the User Consultants, who are the supervisors of Client Computing's In-Person Support Team.
