Rather than purchasing the primary textbook for their classes, students at Northwest rent their primary textbook from the University's Textbook Services. Textbooks can be updated after three years. Your department chairperson will have more information about this.
Some courses require supplemental materials (e.g., MLA or APA manuals, study guides, etc.). Students do purchase these texts through the Northwest Bookstore. To order a supplementary text or other supplementary materials, visit the Northwest Bookstore online.
Finally, many faculty place articles, books, cd-roms, etc., on reserve at B. D. Owens Library. For information on placing course materials on reserve, visit Reserve Services For Faculty.
Online courses may choose to have students order supplemental textbooks through the Bearcat Bookstore, but must let the bookstore know how many to have on hand.
