eCollege - Course Management System

eCollege Course Management System software is Northwest Missouri State University's campus-wide course management software (CMS). The eCollege CMS is offered in eCompanion format for campus-based, web supplemented courses and for blended courses and the eCourse format for online courses. Course sites should be requested by the faculty member in the Faculty Create-a-Course Request form. Training is offered for one-on-one and groups on the software tools provided and for instructional design. Contact CITE to arrange training. To learn more click here.

eConferencing with Class Live

ClassLive Pro is a live, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and video conferencing tool, powered by Elluminate, for the eCollege platform. This fully-integrated solution allows online instructors to see and hear their students in an entirely virtual classroom.

Course Enhancements

Make an online course site more welcoming and visually interesting by adding images and animations specifically designed for the course content. These can be developed and added by the CITE student staff to any eCollege course site. See samples at the Northwest Showcase. Click the ‘Projects’ menu and then Course Enhancement button. Contact CITE to request course enhancements for your course sites.

Learning Object Development

CITE Office develops for faculty digital learning objects to help deliver instructional concepts using multimedia technologies. Learning objects can be developed to help instruct students on specific concepts. These are most useful for online courses but also can be used to supplement face-to-face courses as well. View learning objects that have been created by visiting the Northwest Showcase. Contact Darla Runyon or CITE to request a learning object to be developed.

Fellowship and Grant

The CITE office offers Northwest faculty funding opportunities for the development of online and blended courses. CITE seeks proposals from individual and teams of faculty members to develop online undergraduate and graduate courses and graduate-level blended courses. Our goal is to increase access for Northwest students both on and off campus to high quality courses that enrich the students’ learning experiences. Learn More...

Quality Reache

Quality REACHE is a faculty peer review process provided by the KC REACHE consortium members to ensure the quality of online courses. For participating Northwest faculty, the review process assists faculty to:

Audio and Video Recording

CITE has a recording studio where faculty can come to do voice recording and video recording. The Tegrity software system is also in the recording studio. Both audio and video can be streamed on the web from the eCollege course sites. CITE also have the ability to create VHS tapes DVDs from recorded video. Contact CITE for your audio/video needs.

Surveys for Courses

Remark Web Survey software can be used survey students in a course. This web-based survey allows students to access via a link in a course site or even through email. Data reports forwarded to the instructor once survey time period is finished. Contact CITE for survey request.
