eTextbooks can be easily integrated into course management system

eCompanion publisher content and interactive materials can be added to course sites

Along with the etextbook, instructors can add publisher content to their course site. eCollege provides eCompanion and eCourse site publisher content developed in the platform for use in course sites for many publishers. Along with PowerPoints and other course materials, these publisher sites usually include test banks. This pre-developed content can be duplicated into course sites and customized by the instructor for use in their course allowing for a much faster development time. Publisher materials can be deleted that an instructor decides are not necessary and the remaining content can be used to further develop and enhance materials the instructor currently uses.

In addition to the etextbook and pre-developed publisher course sites, publishers may also provide interactive content that consists of learning objects typically created using Flash programming. These learning objects provide activities that engage students in learning about the content and concepts related to the course and can be embedded directly into the course site.

With all three of these combinations, faculty and students have a multitude of econtent from which to teach and learn. If you are interested in finding out more about econtent through eCollege for your course site, contact Darla Runyon at the CITE Office at x-1532 or
