Canon XH G1 Video camera: CITE's
video camera can be checked out to record video.
Tegrity:
Tegrity is a software system that allows faculty to place a lecture on
the web. The recording is done in the recording studio at the CITE
Office. Features include: Annotations, screen recordings, searchable
presentations and publishing as podcasts.
Designing
video presentations:
MovieMaker can be
used to design video presentations. This software allows you to create,
edit, and add special effects to your movies.
Captivate is special
software to capture images from the computer screen. Captivate works
great to create tutorials of software programs or to demo through a
process. These tools can be used in the CITE Office or have our staff
create a product for your use.
Linking
to video:
Video can be loaded
into the Streaming Media folder located in the File Manager in
eCompanion and eCourse sites and then linked directly into your course
site.
Video can be loaded
onto CITE's Flash streaming media server and then linked in eCompanion
and eCourse sites.
Video can be linked
from YouTube or TeacherTube using either the URL or the Embed link. The
URL will place a direct link to the YouTube or TeacherTube web page
where the video is located including all of the adds and links to other
videos. The Embed link will embed the video into your course site
(without showing all of the web site ads), but it is still associated or
linked to the YouTube or TeacherTube web sites. Below are examples of
the URL and Embed links.
