Two Northwest online faculty receive excellence in online education award

Mr. Pat Immel, Assistant Professor for the Communication/Theatre/Language, received the Quality Reache Excellence in Online Education Award for his 43-101 online Theatre Appreciation course. Dr. Francie Christopher, Assistant Professor in Curriculum Instruction, also received this award for her 66-562 online Materials/Assessment for Teaching ESOL course. Both of these online instructors put their online course through a peer review process in order to assess the quality of the course site using the Quality Reache Peer Course Review.

Quality Reache Peer Course Review is a faculty peer review process provided by the KC REACHE consortium members of which Northwest Missouri State University is a member. Online courses are reviewed by a review team consisting of three faculty including a team chair, content expert, and one member from outside the institution. Feedback from the peer review team is given to the instructor based on the course review rubric's online quality standards. If you are interested in having your online course reviewed by your peers, please contact us as CITE.
