Northwest Missouri State University

Welcome to the Dean L. Hubbard Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship

The award-winning Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is a service-oriented business incubator connecting industry and academics which offers state-of-the-art research facilities, a commercial analytical lab, and tailored support for business acceleration.

Why should you choose the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship for your business?

  1. Capitalize on the academic and other resources at Northwest Missouri State University. Tenants work closely with professors and students from the nanoscale science, marketing, computer science and other departments.
  2. Benefit from the support of the community and the region. The city of Maryville and Nodaway County work closely with Northwest in their commitment to economic development. This creates a seamless process for prospective tenants as the city, county, University, healthcare, finance groups, industry and education constituents communicate with each other to make an effective development team.
  3. Build your business in an ideal location. Maryville offers excellent strategic logistic positioning for a business. Kansas City, Des Moines and Omaha are all located in a 2-hour radius, providing companies with access to more than 1.5 million people. Yet, companies located here get the benefit of a consistently strong work-ethic and business friendly environment in a smaller rural setting.
  4. Utilize our state of the art equipment and in-house analytical chemist.

The CIE contains a state-of-the-art analysis lab. We offer contract R&D and drug discovery work in the analysis of biological and environmental samples for pharmaceuticals, metabolites/biomarkers, personal care products, chemical, elemental and environmental pollutants and more.
