We are pleased to offer online access to American City Business Journals information from 40 cities including Kansas City and St. Louis. Career Services routinely recommends these resources to those we serve. Access to these materials is available through the Career Services website.

Many resources are available on this site, try the Career Services search to find specific information. In addition, our Resource Library offers a variety of diverse career-related materials. We have books, magazines, DVD’s, newspapers, and periodicals to help get you started. Stop by anytime Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and browse our selection at Administration Building 130.

The majority of college students across the U.S. change their major at least once and many change majors several times during their college years. Visit our Choosing a Major site to explore your career options. You can make an appointment with our staff for personal assistance or stop by during Walk-In Hours any Wednesday between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. We offer many resources to help explore majors and career paths.
Staff members are available to critique application materials (examples – resume, cover letter, vitae). Drop off document(s) and make an appointment, or visit our office during Walk-In Hours on Wednesdays between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Career Ambassadors are also available for assistance. Hire A Bearcat is Northwest’s online recruiting system. Students and alumni may view jobs and internships, sign-up for interviews, upload resume/job search documents and be included in resume referrals.
Employers may post job and internship positions, manage on-campus interview schedules, request resume referrals, and develop integrated accounts across all NACElink Network Schools (fees involved).

Need help starting or continuing an internship or job search? Make an appointment with one of our staff members to discuss career options/majors, identify potential jobs/employer markets, and develop search strategies. Each fall and spring employers travel to the Northwest campus to interview candidates for all types of positions -- full time, part-time, and internships. They are looking for you! Current students and registered alumni gain access to interview schedules by completing a profile in our Hire A Bearcat database.
Need a class or group presentation? The list below contains our most frequently requested topics for freshmen through graduate students. Presentations can be customized to fit a specific audience.

Employers frequently contact Career Services looking for qualified candidates. We query Hire A Bearcat for candidates that match the employer's criteria and forward the applicable resumes to the employer. Employers follow up directly with candidates. Students must complete a profile and upload a resume to be included in this service. Alumni may opt into this service by completing a profile. (No additional fee at this time.)

Our staff is available to assist students every Wednesday afternoon from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., without an appointment on a first come, first serve basis. We are located in the Administration Building, Room 130.
