Internships

It is the role of Career Services to coordinate and promote Northwest's university wide internship program. Partnerships with faculty and staff are an important part of the university's initiative to enhance academic programs and student experiences. Our efforts are focused into these four areas:

  1. To facilitate and maintain relationships with employers for internship opportunities and post graduate opportunities. Additionally, to partner with faculty in identifying potential employers and internship opportunities.
  2. To serve as a centralized clearinghouse of internship information and support regarding internship topics. Provide a connection to information from professional experiential education associations. Assist with the development of campus wide policies and forms.
  3. To collect, maintain and report internship program data and statistics to the Northwest campus community.
  4. To provide internship counseling support and information available to students and the campus community including individual appointments, online internship listings, presentations, and books.
