Northwest Missouri State University

 On-campus Interviews

Interviews are scheduled on various dates throughout the trimester and are set by the individual employers.

About the opportunity:

Visiting recruiters travel to the Northwest campus to interview candidates for post graduation employment and internship positions. These events provide a great opportunity for candidates to interview with multiple employers throughout the trimester without ever leaving campus!

Click here to find details about dates, deadlines, locations, and participating employers.

Employers: We welcome you:

We would be delighted to have your company participate in on-campus interviews throughout the trimester!  To participate please complete our On-campus Recruiting Form.  For additional information, contact Stacey Stokes at 660-562-1343 or sstokes@nwmissouri.edu.

Students/Candidates: How to participate:

Some employers choose to fill their interview schedules prior to the event through Hire A Bearcat by choosing the Pre-select or Open schedule option as defined below.  Interested candidates must sign-up through Hire A Bearcat via the Career Services website.  Please visit our Forms page for a printable set of instructions.

The other employers may choose to fill their schedules by selecting candidates at our Career Day event.  Interviews are always offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Below are the types of interview schedules employers may select:

Pre-select:
Qualified candidates may APPLY for an interview by registering with the Office of Career Services. To register a candidate must first sign and submit a signature release form, complete the online profile in Hire A Bearcat, upload a resume (and in some cases a cover letter) then select the employment opportunity of choice prior to the deadline. Candidates will be notified by email (through the email address supplied in the profile section of Hire A Bearcat) indicating whether the employer of choice accepted or declined their request to interview. The ACCEPTED candidates MUST then return to Hire A Bearcat to select an available interview slot. Failure to select a “slot” is an indication to the employer that the candidate is no longer interested in pursuing the opportunity.

Open:
All qualified candidates will be GRANTED an interview slot in Hire A Bearcat once they have registered with the Office of Career Services. To register, a candidate must first sign and submit a signature release form, complete the online profile on Hire A Bearcat, upload a resume (and in some cases a cover letter) and select the targeted interview prior to the deadline.

Fill at Career Day:
The employer will select candidates to interview during the Career Day event.  Bring multiple copies of your resume to share with recruiters during the event! Obviously, attendance at the career fair is pivotal.
