Living Learning Community
Resources for Current Leadership Floor Participants
Goals:
- Students will become knowledgeable about all 10 components of servant leadership - Listening, Empathy, Healing, Awareness, Persuasion, Conceptualization, Foresight, Stewardship, Commitment to growth of people and Building community.
- Students will take leadership roles in outside organizations where applicable.
- Students will identify, research and propose solution to campus obstacle or challenge.
- Develop and utilize a personal leadership plan
Benefits:
- Sign up early during room selection process
- Opportunity to cultivate personal relationships with community leaders (faculty, staff etc)
- Unique leadership field trips or access to distinguished lecture presenters
- Develop a personal leadership plan
- Participate in floor activities focused on leadership and teambuilding activities
- Help develop floor for current and future years.
Requirements:
- Actively participate in all aspects of early move-in orientation
- Coordinate 1 program per semester to present to rest of building
- Regularly attend floor meetings
- Actively participate in 5 activities a semester related to Servant Leadership
- Participate in Certified Student Leader program
- Develop a Leadership Plan based on the principles of Servant Leadership
- Serve as a volunteer for the Bearcat Leadership Training conference (Jan. 27 &28) and the NW Awards and Recognition Ceremony (April 9).
