Northwest Missouri State University

Inaugural Marching Honor Band

HOMECOMING

October 28 - November 4, 2012

This year, talented students from all over the four-state area are invited to wear their colors and march in front of thousands of spectators at the Northwest Missouri State University Homecoming halftime!

Five students from every high school, nominated by their band directors, will be invited to participate in the Homecoming events. Students whose high school bands are also involved in the parade may elect to march with their high school or the Northwest Missouri State University Bearcat Marching Band!

Accepted students will be sent a schedule, music, and maps of the locations for the events. All accepted students are expected to be very familiar with the forwarded music and schedule of events. Just to be sure, each participant will be teamed up with a member of the BMB so no one can get lost or forget an important event. Late arrivals may be discouraged from participating - so be sure to stay with your escort!

The day will begin with the parade. Shortly after the parade, accepted high school students will participate in a brief field rehearsal with the BMB. From there, the students will accompany the BMB to the stands, play during the game, and perform in front of thousands of welcoming fans!

Students must arrange their own rides and rendezvous locations. Please be sure to have a predetermined area where students may be met. Remember the stadium and surround area is very congested. Point nearer the edge of campus will be easily accessible.

Tickets for Parents will be available on a first-come basis. Sorry, we have no control over ticket sales for this event! As a result, call and order tickets early - they do sell fast!
