First floor, west wing. Abbie Bahnemann, born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1941, graduated from Macalester College, St. Paul, Minnesota in 1963 with a B.S. in art education. In 1977 she received a B.F.A. from Northwest Missouri State University. In 1965 she began work as a graphic designer, first employed at Sacred Design Associates in Minneapolis. After moving to Maryville in 1968, Bahnemann worked as a freelancer for Printery House in Conception, Missouri. Bahnemann’s watercolor and oil paintings are represented in many private collection in the Midwest.
