Europe, Northern Africa, Western Asia. Leaves alternate, simple, with three to eight pairs of rounded lobes; dark green in summer, brown fall color. Height 60 to 75 feet with a comparable spread. Useful in parks and other large areas. Acorn is I inch long and elongated.
