Canadian Hemlock, Tsuga canadensis

Northern United States. Extremely graceful evergreen with weeping branches. Needles are.25 to.66 inches long, flat, dark green on top with two whitish bands on the underside. Can grow to 70 feet. Very well suited to city conditions but can die from extremely dry conditions. The soft wood has no value but the bark is used for tanning hides.
