Norway Maple, Acer platanoides

Europe. Leaves opposite, 4 to 7 inches across, five lobed. Milky sap is visible when the petiole is removed from the stem. Reaching to 90 feet. Yellow fall color. 'Crimson King' is a well known cultivar. Its leaves are purple through¬out the growing season.
