Northwest: Home to the

Kansas to southern Michigan to North Carolina, Florida and Texas. Leaves: Alternate, simple, obovate to elliptic, 4 to 6" (8") long, 3 to 4" wide, usually with 7 lobes. Pyramidal tree. 40 to 60' and wide at landscape maturity can reach 100' or more in nature. Leaves may turn a good russet-red to red in fall. Acorns are ovate, 3/4 to 1" long.
