Visiting Artists/Lectures in the DeLuce Gallery

An endowment to support the Department of Art’s visiting artists series. The department invites six to seven artists a year to exhibit work and present a public lecture about their artwork. The department uses the visiting artist series as part of its educational programs for art students.
“Visiting Artists” endowment to provide workshops and lectures
$250,000
An endowment to support invitations to artists who would provide “hand-on” workshops and lectures for art students in the Department of Art. Workshops would run from a few days to several weeks and allow student participation and interaction with the visiting artists.

Geology Field Trip Endowment

to create annual funds to offset geology student costs for field trip opportunities. This would include day trips as well as multi-day field geology discovery opportunities.

Geology Mineral Separation Lab

A mineral separation lab consists of equipment and supplies needed to create mineral samples for research opportunities with undergraduate students.
Interactive Weather Center

A weather center could be housed in the Garrett-Strong science building to educate students and visitors using real-time data. It would be an extension of the GeoScience museum.
