About

As the Vice President of Intellectual Property (IP) Development, Eric Geis focuses on the engineering of Cerner solutions as well as drives several key initiatives around quality and continuous delivery. He makes an impact on Cerner and clients by applying his background and experience to advance solutions in the market so clients are successful using Healthcare IT.  Eric started his Cerner career in 2002 after graduating from Northwest.  He has held roles in consulting, business development, client relationships, and intellectual property development.  Outside of work Eric spends time with his wife Jennifer, and their identical twin girls, Lacey and Bexley.  He enjoys sports, music, working out, traveling, and eating.

Why are you "forever green"?

Eric had a great experience at Northwest.  Besides getting his bachelor and master’s degrees he was a sprinter on the university track team, worked in the computer science department, and helped design and develop the university website.  Since graduation Eric has stayed involved with friends, alumni, and faculty.  His employer, Cerner Corporation, does a lot of recruiting at Northwest.  Eric is part of the Computer Science Alumni Advisory Board, to help ensure the curriculum stays current with industry.  Eric enjoys being on the Foundation Board so he can give back and continue to help the university meet the needs of today and in the future.  Eric is a Founding 50 member for the Hughes Fieldhouse and is a member of the 1905 Society.
