About

Mike Faust joined Kiewit in 1979 and served as Assistant to the Chairman for most of his 36 years with the international contracting firm. In that role, he was speechwriter to senior executives, contributing editor of the company magazine, instructor at Kiewit University, and managed the corporate charitable foundation. He took a lead role in the community relationships and served as a director of many non-profits, including the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce, United Way of the Midlands, and Omaha Community Foundation.

Following graduation from Northwest, Mike first worked for Unisys and Mutual of Omaha. In his semi-retirement, Mike consults with numerous Omaha nonprofits in developing and editing donor communications.

Why are you "forever green"?

Choosing Northwest over universities in my home state of Iowa was one of the great decisions of my life. Despite living in Nebraska for more than four decades, Cornhusker red has never stuck. I'll always have fond memories of my four years in Maryville and I'll aways be Bearcat green.
