National championship trophy, Coach Tjeerdsma coming your way
The 2009 Bearcat football season gave us plenty to cheer about. Now the Northwest Alumni Association is celebrating with Northwest alumni and friends by hosting receptions in several communities featuring Coach Mel Tjeerdsma as well as the impressive NCAA Division II National Championship trophy.
All events, which are complimentary and family-friendly, are from 6 to 8 p.m. with remarks from Coach Tjeerdsma at 7 p.m. Hors d'oeuvres will be provided and a courtesy RSVP is requested to alumni@nwmissouri.edu . Don't forget your camera!

In addition, Bearcat football fans are invited to celebrate the 2009 championship season Sunday, Feb. 14, in Bearcat Arena. An autograph session with the coaches and student-athletes will begin at 1 p.m. in the lobby. Highlights of the 2009 championship season and team awards will be presented following autographs. National championship posters will be available to the first 1,000 fans. The event is free and open to all Bearcat fans.
