Dr. Jason White, assistant professor of economics in Northwest's Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance and a 1991 Northwest alumnus, is featured in the July 13 online edition of "BusinessWeek" magazine.
The article, which contains a brief description of White's professional activities and a summary of his personal retirement strategy, is titled "Rethinking Retirement" and appears as a sidebar to the magazine's print and online cover story, "Can You Afford to Retire?"
White's retirement profile appears with those of 13 other interviewees drawn from various backgrounds in business, finance and academia.

White teaches general economics at Northwest. He also serves as sponsor for the campus chapter of Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) and as co-sponsor of the Financial Management Association.
A former Bearcat cross country and track athlete, White received a bachelor's degree in finance from Northwest before earning his MBA with a business management concentration from Rockhurst University.
Known for weaving real-world examples from his own business career into classroom lectures, White, in addition to teaching, works as director of investments at the Family Investment Center, a money management firm in St. Joseph.
