When Dr. Charles Schultz and Dr. Patricia Bowers Schultz retired as faculty members from Northwest in 2002 with 46 years of combined service, the University, and in particular the students, lost a wonderful team. The departments of music and communication, theatre and languages can certainly testify to that. But they didn't get away scot-free, as the saying goes. Nor did they want to!
Not only are the Schultzes members of The Centennial Society, but they also served as volunteers for the arts and sciences component of The Campaign for Northwest. When they aren't busy teaching a class together in London, they are helping host alumni and friends at different events on the Northwest campus or enjoying the latest performances to hit the stage at the University's Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts.
Thankfully for Northwest, the Schultzes only thought they were retiring!
The University's future is bright thanks to the commitment and devotion from alumni and friends like Dr. Charles and Dr. Patricia Bowers Schultz!
