"As a student at Northwest, I knew I was getting a good education. However, it wasn't until I was in the 'real world, concentrating on a family and my teaching career, that I realized what a great education and opportunity Northwest gave me. Now, whether it's watching the Bearcats at a football or basketball game, enjoying a performance in the Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts or just strolling through the campus, I realize what a treasure we have. Now the time has come for me to give back to the University, even if only in a small way. Getting involved with the Northwest Alumni Association's Southern Iowa Chapter has given me that opportunity. It's a pleasure to do my part in promoting the Bearcat tradition."
