Do you want to speed up your time to graduation, increase your total hours earned, take a course for personal enrichment or earn certification in a specific area? The Summer 2009 trimester begins May 11. Below you will find the necessary information on class schedule and registration. Questions? Please call 800.633.1175

Summer Course Guarantee

As you make plans for the summer, we want you to know that the courses printed in the Summer Course Offerings booklet will not be canceled because of low enrollments. This Summer Guarantee allows you to plan your academic schedule and arrange your summer activities to complement your course load, without the concern that at the last minute the course will be canceled because of insufficient interest by other students. We look forward to seeing you this summer.

When Can I Enroll?

If you are a student who is currently enrolled for the Spring 2009 trimester, this schedule applies to you. (If you are not currently enrolled, please scroll down to the section for new and returning students.)

Find your classification and total earned credit hours to determine the day you may preregister for Summer and Fall 2009.

Graduate and Postbac:
0 hours and above March 16
Senior: Sophomore:
130 and above March 16 50 and above April 6
120 and above March 17 45 and above April 7
110 and above March 18 40 and above April 8
100 and above March 19 35 and above April 9
90 and above March 20 30 and above April 10
Junior: Freshman:
80 and above March 30 20 and above April 13

How Do I Enroll For Classes?

If you are a CURRENT student, you may enroll using CatPAWS.

If you are a NEW or RETURNING student, you must first apply for admission to Northwest.

  1. Go to CatPAWS to fill out the online application.
  2. Click on the 'First time user account creation' link at the bottom of the page.
  3. Create a username and password for yourself.
  4. Finish filling out the rest of the application.

Upon your acceptance to Northwest, you will be provided with more information about how and when to register for classes.
