Why Northwest:
"I came back to Northwest Missouri State University after a career in teaching. I remember thinking after graduation that I would like to return to NW someday to work. I like having the opportunity to share with prospective students my love for this University and the chance to see them become a part of the Northwest family. There have been lots of changes on campus over the years, but the traditions that mean so much to the alumni have been maintained. The beauty of the campus only continues to get better with the fine care that has been taken to the grounds and buildings. This is a dream come true for my family."

Favorite Northwest memory or tradition:
"One of my favorite memories of my time at Northwest is the tradition of Christmas Caroling by the Tower Choir at the Gaunt House, then the home of President and Mrs. Robert Foster. They were always so welcoming and appreciative of our music and the memories of making beautiful music on those cold winter nights is very special to me."

Best tip for getting involved at Northwest:
"Just do it.  Make yourself go to every floor meeting, hall meeting, etc. Take advantage of all of those opportunities to meet people right at the very start of your college career. Intramurals, concerts, plays and ball games are great ways to become involved and to meet your peers. Put those fears of being alone aside and go for it."

Favorite building on campus and why:
"I would be surprised if the Administration building isn't everyone's favorite building on this campus. Just to stand in front of it and look and feel the history and tradition of the building makes one proud to be a part of it. Our freshman orientation leader took us to the front of the Ad building on our first day here and showed us 'And the Truth Shall Make You Free' and that has stayed with me since that day."

Quote I live by:
"'Always leave things a little better than you found them.'" A simple quote, but it can be a life changing attitude. I try to live it everyday.
