Combined Percentile Index

  1. Calculate your class rank percentile.
    • If using class rank, figure your class rank percentile by dividing your class rank by your class size, then subtract that number from 100 percent.
    • If using GED score, use the percentile chart below to find your corresponding class rank percentile.
    • If your high school doesn't use class rank, skip to step 2 and multiply it by 2 to get your Combined Percentile Index.
  2. Use the percentile chart below; find your ACT/SAT composite test score percentile.
  3. Add it to your class rank percentile to get your Combined Percentile Index.

Combined % Index =
58 * 2 = 116

116 and 122 exceeds the minimum combined percentile index of 100, so you would be admissible to Northwest.

Percentile Chart

Northwest does not require the writing component of the ACT. The SAT score used for admission is a combination of SAT Critical Reading and SAT Mathematics scores.
