Preparing for College Program
The office of Admissions at Northwest Missouri State University would like to invite your school to participate in a workshop title Preparing for College: A Partnership in Education. This workshop will reinforce your efforts in preparing your eight-, ninth- and 10th- grade students for college. The presentation will include the following topics:
- Discovering why you should go to college
- Factors to consider when making your college decision
- Steps to take now so you are prepared for college
- Preparing for the ACT
- Helpful hints and tips for your college applications
- Preparing for the cost of your college education
The value of higher education has never been greater. The gap continues to widen between the earning power of a high school graduate and a person with a four-year degree. This presentation will assist students in preparing for a successful experience in college. The 30-50-minute workshop will be offered during the school day at a convenient time for you and your students.
