Textbooks and Laptops

Your Laptop

Full-time graduate students (at least 9 credit hours) will receive a laptop to use while studying at Northwest. The laptops come fully loaded with all of the software you need to be a successful student, including Microsoft Office. This helps create a level playing field, as all students will have the tools they need to complete assignments. Laptops can be used at the many wireless hotspots around campus.

Please visit Client Computing for more information about our computer policies.

Your Textbooks

The Barnes and Noble College Bookstore on the campus of Northwest will carry every textbook you will need for your graduate courses. For your convenience you can purchase your books through the Bearcat Bookstore on campus, by phone at 660.562.1246 or by visiting their website http://www.nwmissouri.bncollege.com . Books may be charged to your Northwest account by using your Northwest ID# (919#), any major credit card or B&N gift cards and can also be shipped if needed.

The bookstore works with faculty, students and other vendors to get used books in stock, saving you 25% off the price of a new text, when available. At the end of the term if you choose not to keep your book you can sell it back to the bookstore. For further questions please contact the bookstore.
