We encourage home-schooled students to apply for admission to Northwest Missouri State University. Home-schooled students will be evaluated similar to those students who attend or are attending a public or private high school. Applicants must have their ACT or SAT results submitted directly from ACT or CollegeBoard. A transcript listing of high school courses and grades in each course is also required for admission.
In order to be accepted, home-schooled students must meet one of the following criteria:
Students who do not meet these requirements will be reviewed on an individual basis. Official ACT/SAT scores directly from ACT or College Board are required for course placement and scholarship purposes.
A student may be considered for admission after receiving an equivalency certification meeting the following criteria: a total score of at least 680 with no subscore below 150 on the GED or a total score of at least 75 on the HiSET. ACT/SAT test scores directly from ACT or College Board are also required for course placement and scholarship purposes.
