Dr. Grady Bray
Northwest’s Department of Psychology, Sociology and Counseling will host the fourth annual Missouri Undergraduate Psychology Conference Friday, Nov. 14.
Carrying the theme Experiential Learning & Applied Knowledge, this year’s conference will feature a keynote address by Dr. Grady Bray titled “The Trauma That Does Not Bleed.”
Though paid registraistration is required for those planning to attend the entire conference (see details below), Bray's presentation is free and open to the public. He is to begin speaking at 10:30 a.m. in the third-floor Ballroom of the J.W. Jones Student Union.
An internationally recognized disaster psychologist, Bray has provided assessment and training for the Executive Office of the President of the United States, is a frequent presenter for FEMA’s Emergency Management Institute and works with international response teams for private corporations and government agencies.
He has appeared as a subject-matter expert on The Discovery Channel and The Learning Channel as well as being featured in an NBC Dateline segment.
Bray’s practice has included work associated with the Murrah Federal Building bombing in Oklahoma City, the 9/11 World Trade Center attack, the United Nations bombing in Baghdad, the Tsunami in Thailand and hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Conference registration and proposal submission guidelines are available via the Web page. Deadline for submissions and online early bird registration ($15) is Friday, Oct. 31. Online advance registration ($18) will close Nov. 11. On-site registration on the day of the conference is $20.
