Laura Widmer
The National Scholastic Press Association has appointed Laura Widmer, assistant professor of mass communication, to its board of directors.
Widmer, who serves as director of student publications at Northwest, is advisor to the "Northwest Missourian" student newspaper and "Tower yearbook." Both publications have won numerous national awards.
An NSPA Pioneer Award winner, Widmer is past-president of College Media Advisers and a member of the CMA Hall of Fame.
