Northwest Missouri State University and the Northwest Missouri Small Business Development Centers are among the co-sponsors of this year’s third annual Business Summit, which will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at Missouri Western State University’s Fulkerson Center in St. Joseph.
This year’s summit, titled “Growing Business in a Challenging Economy,” features keynote speakers Kayla Barrett, a corporate training and development consultant, and Savannah native Steven Craig, founder of the Craig Realty Group of Newport Beach, Calif., a shopping center development firm.
Barrett will speak at 8 a.m., and Craig’s presentation will take place during the summit luncheon, which begins at 11:45 p.m. Breakout sessions for conference participants are scheduled throughout the middle of the morning.

Northwest SBDC comprises three offices that each fall under the direction of Northwest Missouri State University and the University of Missouri Extension in cooperation with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
