Our Magellan Exchange Program offers twelve universities in ten different countries. This program offers semester or year-long course studies and internships. Most of the universities offered are located in central Europe. These are great locations and easy to travel to and from. Also, they are very affordable!

All courses and programs provided to exchange students are in English. Some countries require a small proficiency of their native language for everyday usage, but most of the countries offered will speak English as a second language.

Tuition is paid to Northwest. Housing and meals are paid to the institution abroad.

Classes run from mid-September to mid-February and mid-March to mid-July. Studies focus mostly on Business, Engineering and Mechatronics. It has over 1,700 international students, including exchange. There are about 45,000 students just in Aachen, which holds a total population of 253,000 inhabitants. You can find more information in the student handbook.

Coventry takes pride in its international campus including 2,600 international students from over 90 countries. Coventry has library and study support, social programs, a student support center and more! Classes run from late September to mid-December; early January to late March; and late April to early June.

HEC especially focuses on innovation management and entrepreneurship. There are actually 2 campuses; which you attend depends on your studies. Studies at HEC focus on business, social science, technology, and law. Classes are from mid-September to late January; early February to late June.

PHL is an international campus located in the heart of Europe. It focuses on internationalization. Major studies include business and fine arts. Classes are from mid-September to mid-December; early January to late April.

Location: Rennes-Cedex, France

About 300 international students attend ESC each year. Student clubs, resource centers, multimedia centers and more are located throughout campus, in a building that is open 24 hours a day, 6 days a week (something you don’t find common in Europe)! Classes are late August or early September to late December; mid-January to mid/late May.
Students can choose from a private residence hall or a shared flat.
Internships are possible for those with the necessary French fluency (550 or above on the Test d’Evaluation Francais) and on condition that the home university communicates directly with the company regarding the internship agreement. ESC Rennes only provides access to the information and data bases.

RAMK is an international campus and multi-cultural community. There is a lot of student involvement with sports and cultural hobbies open to everyone. There are three different campuses that students attend according to major. Focused majors include business, healthcare, social services, technology, computer science, and tourism. Classes are from late August to mid-December; early January to late June.

SAMK has approximately 6,500 students attending. Focused majors include business, tourism, information technology, computer science, media studies, health care, social services, and fine arts. The campus student union provides development teams, organizations, and activities. Classes are from late August to mid-December; early January to late May.

This is a young university with over 35,000 students. There are three campuses that are divided by majors. Focused majors at this university include Business, information technology, computer science, engineering, agriculture, environmental science and fine arts. Classes are from mid/late-September to late January; mid-February to late June or early July. A full academic year is suggested.

Internships are available for students with knowledge of Spanish who wish to stay in Valencia for an academic year. Students normally take courses in the first semester and then do an internship in the second semester. UPV cannot guarantee an internship as students are selected by companies.

Total enrollment at Vorarlberg is only about 1,000 students with almost 80 of them incoming exchange. The university has won many awards on quality and excellence. Vorarlberg shares its borders with Germany, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. It contains many beautiful lakes and mountains, as well as cultural institutions and events. There are about 43,000 inhabitants in Dornbirn.

Location: Maastricht, Heerlen and Sittard, Netherlands

This university offers campuses in three different locations depending on majors. Sittard offers courses in English for International Business and Management. Maastricht offers Interactive Digital Media, Computer Science, Information Technology, and Hotel Management. Classes are offered early September to late January; early January to late June.

UDEM is located in Monterrey, the third largest city in Mexico which contains over one million inhabitants. UDEM was founded by local entrepreneurs and religious groups and prides on its accreditation from Mexico and the United States. UDEM offers summer courses in English and Spanish.
Students can choose from university on- and off-campus residence halls, shared apartments through housing agencies, or with a host family.
