The Kashmir Crossover, a cultural exchange between 40 students

Northwest students helped plant nearly 200 trees throughout the city and campus as part of the Re-Leaf initiative in cooperation with the local Lions Club and the city of Maryville.

72

72 percent of Northwest senior psychology/sociology majors scored better than the national average on the Area Concentration Achievement Test, which measures a student's application of psychological principles and concepts.

The Kashmir Crossover, a cultural exchange between 40 students - 20 from Northwest and 20 from the University of Kashmir - allowed artwork by students from both schools to be displayed simultaneously, in person and virtually, in an exhibit. (right)

Department of Agriculture received the Sweepstakes Award

Of the 40 institutions competing in the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture contest, 32 undergraduate agriculture students representing Northwest's Department of Agriculture received the Sweepstakes Award given to the four-year institution with the highest point total. (left)

Northwest's Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) team won its regional competition and has qualified for the national contest for the third consecutive year.

The Tower yearbook staff was recently honored in New York City with a Silver Crown Award from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, which represents the top 2 percent of college yearbooks in the country.

The Northwest cheerleading team was named the 2012 Universal Cheerleaders Association National Champion. This is the team's second national championship in three years.
