NORTHWESTERN MUTUAL SCHOLARSHIP

Students who earn an "A" in the Sales Management class role play presentation are given the opportunity to make an individual role play presentation in front of a sales team from Northwest Mutual Financial Network personnel. This team will choose the recipients of the Northwestern Mutual Scholarship. The first place scholarship is $300; second place is $200; and third place is $100.

Must attend Awards Ceremony on April 7, 2011

NOTHSTINE FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP

The Madonna and John Nothstine Scholarship is awarded to an outstanding marketing major who is involved in AMA and will be attending Northwest in the upcoming academic year. The recipient will be selected on the basis of academic achievement, likelihood of success in marketing, and financial need.

In the statement of career goals, applicants should indicate why they believe they will be a success in marketing. Selection of the recipient will be made by the Marketing faculty of the Department of Marketing and Management.

EXTREME RESUME MAKEOVER SCHOLARSHIP

Profits earned from royalties for a book written by Cindy Kenkel will fund one-four $500 scholarships for students majoring in management, marketing, or international business. This book published by McGraw Hill-Irwin features student cover letters and resumes. Students are asked to submit a current resume and cover letter outlining how they fit the scholarship criteria.

Packets should be delivered to Alisa Meyer in Colden Hall 2920.

  • Student must have declared a major in management, marketing, or international business and have completed at least 75 hours when they apply.
  • Student must have an overall GPA of 3.25 with a B or higher in any business courses. A copy of their most recent degree audit will need to be attached to their cover letter and application.
  • Active participation in a business department organization (SIFE, DMD,SHRM,AMA, or PBL). Discuss both involvement and leadership you have demonstrated for all applicable organizations.
  • A quality cover letter and resume.
  • A willingness to attend the Booth College Awards Ceremony April 7, 2011.
  • Preference will be given to students who graduated from Maryville High School.
