Terri J. Johnston's research and teaching interests include two novels in progress. Coal Mine Stew is based on research and life experiences in two mining towns, Hannah, WY (open-pit strip mining) and Trinidad, CO (deep-earth mining). Burdens is based on research funded by a grant from Univ. of Wyo. the summer of 2002 about the Mormon handcart disasters across South Pass, WY in 1856. She is also interested in developing further skills teaching Developmental English, Composition, Introduction to Literature and Technical Writing.
