Kenton Wilcox studied for a Licentiate in Philosophy at Leuven, Belgium. While in Belgium, he published an article in Dutch in the monthly publication of Belgium’s gay and lesbian umbrella organization. The topic is why gay men should support feminism. In 2000, Northwest hired him to teach general education courses and composition. Alongside teaching, Kenton serves on the Recruitment/Placement and Colloquium Committees. In 2004, Kenton received a fellowship allowing him to study in the Freeman/Japan Studies Institute in Waikiki, Hawaii, a thee-week, interdisciplinary, intensive-studies program in Japanese language, history, politics art, and culture. Kenton's research and teaching interests include world literature, linguistics, contemporary philosophy, and queer theory.
