Ph.D. Comparative Literature, University of North Carolina
Dr. Jeffrey Loomis teaches classes in composition, world and modern drama, world literature, and British literature since 1800. He is the Secretary of the Comparative Drama Conference and is a former President of the Robert Frost Society. Dr. Loomis's book Dayspring in Darkness: Sacrament in Hopkins was published by Bucknell University Press in 1988. In addition, his articles on Hopkins, Frost, Strindberg, Woolf, Albee, Flannery O'Connor, Goethe, Sondheim, Howe, and Tennessee Williams have appeared in a variety of journals and books. He has also had book reviews and poems published over the past two decades. Dr. Loomis is currently researching a new book on Tennessee Williams' manuscripts.
