Meet the Faculty

John GallaherJohn Gallaher

Ph.D. English, Ohio University

Dr. John Gallaher was born in Portland, Oregon in 1965. He lived in several states while growing up, finally attending Texas State University and Ohio University. His books of poetry are Gentlemen in Turbans, Ladies in Cauls (Spuyten Duyvil, 2001), The Little Book of Guesses (Four Way Books Levis Poetry Prize, 2007), and Map of the Folded World (University of Akron Press, forthcoming). Recent poems appear in Field, Colorado Review, New American Writing, and The Best American Poetry 2008. He co-edits The Laurel Review.
