Awarded to students who are actively involved in forensics. Recipients are not required to major in the Communication, Theatre, & Languages Department. Auditions will be held by appointment on an individual basis. Students will be asked to present a brief selection of their choosing. The selection may be all or part of a speech done in competition. Please contact the Director of Forensics, David Nelson at (660) 562-1506 to schedule a specific audition time.

Awarded to students who have selected a major in Theatre or Speech/Theatre Education. Prior to scheduling an appointment to audition students must submit an application and resume detailing their prior theatre experience. A photograph may be included but is not required. Students interested in performance scholarships will be asked to present two contrasting monologues of no longer than 4 minutes combined. Students interested in technical theatre/design will be asked to describe their area of interest and to present examples of their work. If unable to attend on an audition day a student may submit their monologues via video tape (performance audition) or a copy of their technical portfolio (technical audition) though attendence on "Scholarship Day" is highly desired. Awarded to first time students who have successfully completed a dual credit course through the Department of Communication, Theatre and Languages at Northwest. Students must receive a final grade of a 'B' or higher, have a high school GPA of at least 3.0 and have an ACT score of 21 or better. All recipients must officially declare a major in one of the programs offered by the Department of Communication, Theatre, and Languages.
