Logging Into the Northwest Network for the First Time

Before you can log into the Northwest network for the first time, you must obtain your Northwest network username and password. Perform the following steps to obtain your Northwest network username and initial password.

  1. Go to the Northwest Homepage (located at the top right-hand side of the homepage)
  2. Mouse over Connect
  3. A drop down menu will appear
  4. Beneath the Quick Tools list, select CatPAWS
  5. Log into the secure area

  6. Click on the Personal Information menu
  7. Click on Retrieve User Name and Password Lookup (for NEW STUDENTS ONLY)
  8. Read the statement on accepting Northwest's Computing Policies
  9. Click on Agree
  10. Your Northwest email address and initial Northwest network password will be displayed. Your Northwest network username is all of the characters before the @ in your email address. For example, if the email address displayed is S345678@mail.nwmissouri.edu, then your Northwest network username would be S345678.
    Once you change your Northwest network password, the displayed password will no longer be valid.

To log into the Northwest network using a university provided computer for the first time, do the following steps.

  1. Simultaneously press Ctrl + Alt + Delete
  2. Read the statement on accepting Northwest's Computing Policies
  3. Click OK
  4. In the Username textbox, enter your Northwest network username
  5. In the Password textbox, enter your Northwest network password
  6. Click OK
