Adam Clark, an interactive digital media major (IDM) from Princeton, Missouri, submitted the winning entry 2006 "Take the Challenge" Cover Art Contest, which is sponsored by Northwest’s Office of Information Systems, and held in cooperation with tthe Center for Information and Technology in Education (CITE) and the Department of Fine Arts.
The cover art contest has a two-fold mission: First, to draw attention to the User's Guide, which provides students with important information about campus computing resources, guidelines and policies, the latter of which are so important to maintaining a secure and stable network; and Second, to give a student a professional experience in the design field, which they can utilize to enhance their portfolio and resume.
The cover art submissions were critiqued and voted on by a panel of judges, which included representatives from the Fine Arts Department, the Information Systems Department and the CITE Office.
Clark's artwork will be featured on the front cover of the 2006-2007 Computer User's Guide, which has a distribution of approximately 1,700 and is given to all new freshmen.
Clark, who is employed as a member of the student Web team in the Office of University Relations, is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society and a past Student Senate treasurer.
