Northwest: Home to the

Native. Leaves alternate, pinnately compound, 12-20 inches long with 9-17 leaflets. Bark light brown and broken into vertical scaly ridges. Tree grows to 100 feet and is grown commercially for wood and nuts. The nuts grow in clusters of 3-10 and each is in a dark brown husk.
